About the Art
In this room, Elin has worked with the industrial and commercial development of the 20th century. The 20th century was the era of mass production. It started with horse and carriage and ended with Macs and laptops 100 years later. Oil made Stavanger wealthy, and people began to spend a lot of money. Few people thought about recycling and the environment, something we must consider every day today. Therefore, she has tried to install as much as possible in the welded steel installation. Elin has reused mirrors from previous artworks and wants the audience to become part of everything they see, along with all the old items. The 20th century was full of everything, both war and disco, and this is something she wants to give the audience an experience of.
