One ticket allows entrance to all our open museums on the same day.

Children up to primary school age must be accompanied by an adult.

Prams are allowed within the museum's foyer and café, but are not allowed amongst the exhibition due to fire safety. Please bring your own baby carrier or pushchair. 

Students must show valid student identification.

An annual pass is valid for one year from the date of purchase and provides entry to all open museums with one guest.

Find the way: 

On foot: Approx. 10 minutes from the center of Stavanger, through the underpass in Kannik, pass Rogaland Teater and continue up Muségaten to Stavanger museum.

By bike: Approx. 5 minutes from the center of Stavanger, through the underpass in Kannik, pass Rogaland Teater and continue up Muségaten to Stavanger museum.

By car: Parking P-Jernbanen, go from there through the underpass in Kannik, pass Rogaland Theater continue up Muségaten to Stavanger museum.

By bus/train to Stavanger city centre: Go through the underpass in Kannik, pass Rogaland Theater and continue up Muségaten to Stavanger museum.

Lift: Two different lifts brings guest down to the basement and up to the higher floors.  

Prams: Prams can be taken into the museum's foyer and cafe, but unfortunately not in the exhibitions due to fire safety. 

Cafe and shop: Ticket is not required to visit the museum shop and museumscafe, with the same opening hours as the museum. You are welcome to bring your packed lunch. Welcome!

Parking: Yes, parking at P-Jernbanen

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, use the door to the left from the main staircase. 

Toilets: Yes, in the basement. 

Facilitation in case of reduced vision: Partly. In the exhibition Our Nature? you can touch some of the animals.

Accommodation for reduced hearing: No

The building and exhibitions: Old buildings with various challenges for visitors with varying functional adaptations.

Special challenges: Old buildings which generally have a poor universal design.
