1 A Danish skilling (shilling) from 1770

At the end of the 18th century, it is common to use such coins to make purchases. It is also common to keep ledgers of purchase amounts due for payment at a later date.

Up until 1771, all coins are made of silver. But after the silver mines become exhausted, coins start to be made of copper. The common currency is the shilling. This shilling coin from 1771 is very special and the mints continued to produce 1771 coins for many years afterwards.
